The GNA Mission

At that heart of GNA’s mission is to:

  1. Increase awareness of diverse gender identity and acceptance of all forms of gender expression within the community at large by creating a positive and contributing presence in each of our local communities, educating the community about gender identity and expression, and encouraging safe and inclusive environments for all forms of gender expression

  2. Connect existing gender identity-supporting organizations through open communication, networking and cooperative efforts

  3. Support our communities through positive social relationships and the preservation and promotion of healthy gender expression

VISION & Future growth

2015 is going to be a big year for GNA. We are hard at work developing some new programs to engage with, and strengthen the Trans* community. Our efforts include expanding upon our annual events (Transgender Day of Empowermentto create fun, interactive events and organize outings. We are also hard at work developing programs to strengthen the skills of the community, including launching a ToastMasters chapter that will focus on building Ambassadors for the Trans* community.
